Luciano Balbo

Founder and President

Entrepreneur with a 20 years experience in Venture Capital and Private Equity, Luciano founded Oltre Venture in 2006. Prior to Oltre, Luciano gained a multi-year, active experience in the social sector with Oltre Foundation, the first Italian Venture Philanthropy Foundation established in 2002.
In 1988 Luciano Balbo co-founded B&S Private Equity, one of the most successful Italian operators among its peers. Previously, he also served as General Director at Finnova (SO.PA.F spa), the first Venture Capital Company in Italy. Moreover, Luciano counts on 9 years of managerial experience in major companies active in the chemical and steel sector. Graduated in Physics at Università degli Studi (Milan, Italy), he holds an MBA from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).

Lorenzo Allevi

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Lorenzo has a ten-year working experience in Social Venture Capital, by participating since 2004 at Oltre’s constitution and growth. At Oltre, he was responsible of the main Start-ups incubated by Oltre. In the past, Lorenzo gained a significant experience in the corporate and Investment Banking sectors working at J.P. Morgan, Mediocredito Lombardo and Rinascente Group. He holds a Degree in Business and Banking (Milan, Italy) and an MBA from Bocconi University (SDA Bocconi).

Adriana Versino

Junior Partner

Adriana has worked from 2012 to 2015 in YOOX-Net-a-Porter Group in the Office of the CEO and in Finance&Adiministration Department. She articipated at the development of new strategic partnerships and at the integration with Net-a-Porter Group.
Previous to YOOX, Adriana gained a significant experience in structured finance and in consulting, working at AF Mezzanine SGR and at McKinsey&Company. She started her career in IG Partners, an M&A/advisory boutique created by a prominent business angel. She holds a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University of Milan.

Raffaele Fedele

Junior Analist

Raffaele has a degree in International Management of Service at Copenhagen Business School. In the second year of his master, he attended an exchange program at Guanghua School of Management in Beijing, where he was part of the “Start-up Garage” promoted by Stanford University. In addition to an experience in the pharmaceutical sector at the English branch of an important German company, he supported the business development of a start-up, firstly in Beijing and then in Copenhagen, where he was responsible of all operations.

Martina Santandrea

Junior Analyst

Martina has a PhD in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and MSc in Management Engineering. She has been visiting PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University, contract lecturer at MIP Graduate School of Business and teaching assistant at Politecnico di Milano in the areas of corporate finance, project finance and government contracting. She participated in several projects on social finance and impact investing as well as in the field of innovation in public finance.

Nicola Lambert


Nicola, 28 years old, has a double degree in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Torino and at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. After graduation, he initially worked in an investment fund focused on Real Estate between Berlin and Miami and as Country Manager Italy in a Rocket Internet startup in Berlin. Back in Italy, he supported the development and launch of several digital startups.

Stefania Fracassi

Office Manager

Stefania worked at Oltre Venture since its foundation and she is currently responsible for administrative, back office and executive secretary tasks.
Previously, she worked with the same functions both in a marketing company and in an important telecommunication company.

Fabio Severino

Senior Advisor

Fabio has a PhD in Marketing and MBA, both from La Sapienza in Rome, with specialization of art, culture and tourism. He is the vice-president of the National Academy of Dance, board member of the Biblioteche di Roma, lecturer of the 2004 Economics and Management of Cultural Businesses at La Sapienza in Rome, former editor of “Economia della Cultura” (ilMulino), visiting professor of Christie’s Education (Uk) and at the Ecole Superiore du Commerce of Saint Etienne (France). Editor for Artribune, he is also the author of business lectures for Treccani and has over 50 peer reviewed scientific articles.
